Sr. Health Educator needed w/Bachelor’s degree or Foreign Equivalent in Medical Science or Health Education or Health Science& three (3) months experience as Sr. Health Educator or Health Educator performing following job duties:
Educate how to properly document medical services and proper coding and claim Submission. Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws and other federal, state and local regulations. Schedule appointments for health assessment in support of our commercial e-change member who may have a gap in care. Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures that reflect quality and safe delivery of health care services. Provide health and wellness education. Plan and implement programs and treatments specifically designed to address the patient’s needs. Explain to the patients about their insurance benefits. Coordinate with staff to ensure department compliance with policies, procedure, by laws, regulatory requirements, best practice guidelines and medication as per insurance requirements. Consult with patients about cost-saving programs such as coupons and generic drug approaches. Educate patients how to maintain oral hygiene and health.
