Dr. Mohit Patel has over 10 years of experience with orthodontics. His board certification is a recognition awarded to only the most highly qualified candidates that prove they can make precision adjustments of a”complex nature” over multiple case studies. Candidates are not required, but rather, volunteer to prove themselves the most qualified by stepping up to the challenge and pursuing both the excellence and the honor that comes with board certification. Being a Board Member of the American Board of Orthodontics is one of the highest achievements for orthodontics.
The certification process involves a thorough Written Examination covering all areas of information on which an orthodontist should be knowledgeable. Successful passage allows the orthodontist to present treated cases which will be evaluated by expert examiners of the Board during a Clinical Examination. Certification is now awarded for a time-limited period and the orthodontist must re-examine on a periodic basis to retain the board certified status.
